My first trip outside of Chicagoland in 8 months, 22 days

I can't believe I have been in the Chicago area for 8 months and 21 days. It seems like forever; while at the same time feeling like yesterday.

I have several posts in the work; however, I just had to explain my absence over the past week.

For starters, Fred is doing better. My gangsta hamster is recovering nicely; however; his brother Ted passed away this past Monday. We just got Ted and Ned this summer, so I was a bit surprised to see him pass so quickly.

That means Kyle and I are down to Fred, Ned, Cleatus (the cat), Nibbler (my dog), and Zander (his dog). We are still outnumbered though by quite a bit. If our animals ever decide to overthrow our household, we are screwed.

Also, Kyle and I are prepping for our first trip back to Arkansas since we moved here in January. We leave out tomorrow afternoon. I will hopefully be blogging all about it.

Thirdly, I have been working harder at my job. There are a few things I am doing, that just require me to devote a bit more time. However, eventually with this hard work, it will make the job a lot smoother.

So, I will have more posts soon, and I promise to focus on the NW Burbs a lot more. Big things are coming up, and I will be there bringing it to you. :) Plus, I have tons more stories to tell. :)
