Frugal Fun: Oktoberfest in Palatine

If you are any where near Palatine this weekend,  be sure to come out to the Rotary Club's Oktoberfest. The free festival kicks off tomorrow, Friday, September 16, 2011, at the intersection of Brockway and Slade in Palatine. The festival celebrates German heritage including its' awesome food and music.

The traditional keg rolling ceremony starts at 5:30 Friday afternoon, and the wine tasting is Sunday at 2:00 p.m. However, for the family-minded, be sure to come out on Saturday from Noon to 3:00 p.m. for Family Day.

I will be there during most of the event taking pictures. So, if you see me, be sure to say hi!
