This week Chicago saw a surge of nearly 30,000 people at the McCormick Place West for Greenbuild -- setting a new record as the largest Greenbuild since the show started in Austin, TX in 2002.
Now that the activities surrounding this event have drawn to a close, let's look at some of great examples of buildings around Chicago that represent some of the ideas and technologies presented both during the educational sessions and the exhibit hall. Three examples are the McCormick Place West, Chicago Center for Green Technologies, and the Lumenhaus.
McCormick Place is located at 2301 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60616.
The Chicago Center for Green Technology is located at 445 N. Sacramento Blvd., Chicago IL 60612.
Lumenhaus is a traveling solar housing prototype.
