Today I put on my homer hat and headed to the Northside to capture a few more photos of our beautiful Chicago. It was a nice sunny 17 degrees outside with some pretty cold winds coming in from the lakefront. I ended up in Uptown and Montrose Harbor.
Over the past few months I have not spent as much time with my photography as I once did. An old friend of mine would tell me I was "obsessed" with photography. My old friend was right! I do still enjoy photography but at one time I felt a needed to prove to myself and others I could take more than just good photographs. It was a 24 /7 obsession, honing my craft, finding new thing's around Chicago and learning all the way.
This is not the case anymore, I don't know or care if I was able to prove anything to anyone about my photography. I do know I have enjoyed taking and providing photos for others to view. At this point.. I feel there is nothing for me to prove and it feels good, I still enjoy taking a few photos and I will continue with just that.
Yesterday I did my usual tour of downtown which includes a trip passed the Riverwalk, Millennium Park and the Loop. It was a bit warmer yesterday and the fresh fallen snow may for a nice photo shoot. I did my regular Cityscape type shots along with a mix of whatever I found interesting at the time.
Beside Architectural and Cityscape Photography I also enjoy Street Photography very much. Over the past few days I was able to do a mixture my favorite photography genres.
Over the past year I have taken a countless number of photographs, in this post are a few I took within the past two days.
