Think Mystery Science Theatre 3000 does silly Lifetime movies instead of sci-fi and you get a new hybrid movie night and comedy show at Lincoln Hall called Once In A Lifetime.
Saki, a record store and art space in Logan Square teamed up with the folks from Lincoln Hall and Everything is Terrible, to present this months edition of Once In A Lifetime. It is a group of Chicago-based comedians celebrating the wild, melodramatic world of Lifetime Original Movies by providing comedic commentary over a screening of these so-bad-they're-good TV flicks.
This month, The Puterbaugh Sisters, Chad Briggs, and Natalie Jose are lined up to goof on Drew Peterson: Untouchable, which was described by Vulture as "startlingly ultra campy" and features Rob Lowe with an awesome moustache in the title role.
The comedy provided is from a few of Chicago's quickest, most absurd comedic minds. On board to punch up the film: The Puterbaugh Sisters, hosts of the wildly popular, long running variety showcase Entertaining Julia, will be joined by Chad Briggs (a local fixture at Just for Laughs Chicago) and Natalie Jose a regular at showcases and festivals in Chicago and beyond.
As a means of bolstering the show's already undeniable cool mom appeal, Lincoln Hall will offer a $3 white wine spritzer special!
Call the sitter and arrange a minivan convoy for Once in a Lifetime: Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?, presented by Saki and Everything is Terrible!
The show is Wednesday, August 14th at 8pm at Lincoln Hall, at each screening, a group of comedians will provide live commentary, adding another ridiculous layer to these so-bad-they're-good TV movies. The show is 18+

And I found a baggie of weed in her sock drawer! Or maybe that was my mother? Anyway, Saki and Everything is Terrible are proud to present ONCE IN A LIFETIME, the show that unleashes some of Chicago's funniest comedians on the Lifetime original movies you're ashamed to admit you've seen...twice." featuring...
