Historic Pabst Brewery in Milwaukee

The Pabst Brewery Complex in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is the former brewery of the Pabst Brewing Company. The Pabst Brewing Company was the first of the great Milwaukee brewers. Quality, pride, tradition, and hops were the ingredients in the legacy left by German immigrant Jacob Best Sr, who established the brewery in 1844.

The facility was closed in 1997. On August 16, 2006 the brewery complex was purchased by Joseph Zilber's investment group Brewery for $13 million to create The Brewery.  In the Fall of 2011 work began to transform two of the complex’s most historic buildings - The Mill House (1891) and Brew House (1882), into the 90 unit Brewhouse Inn and Suites which features unique extended stay hotel accommodations and a ground floor restaurant.

Located immediately east of Interstate 43, The Brewery has become Milwaukee's newest, sustainable, historic neighborhood.  It's home to two major university centers, offices, apartments, a hotel, restaurants and soon to have even more new tenants.
