After Phase 2 the second nine day construction project completion, workers started cutting apart and removing the final section of the 91 year old Wells Street Bridge.

Last night, works dismantled and removed the final sections of the old Wells Street Bridge.  The bridge will remain closed to cars and pedestrians until November.

Brown and Purple Line riders are back to normal operation, beginning May 19, Red Line riders will be impacted by a closure of the Dan Ryan branch for a track reconstruction project that is expected to take five months.
