Chicago's 35th Annual Toys for Tots Parade

35th Annual Toys for Tots motorcycle parade kicked off this morning in Dan Ryan Woods at 83rd & Western in Chicago. Line up for the parade began at 6:30 am and the parade started rolling north for 20 miles along Western Avenue at 9:00 am. Thousands came to ride and many more lined the route from the South side to the North side of Chicago.

Bikers participating in The Chicagoland Toys for Tots Motorcycle Parade donate gifts to kids in this annual event. The parade started 35 years ago by a Vietnam Veteran and 5 of his friends. They went around delivering toys to needy children on motorcycles. Now dubbed "The world’s greatest motorcycle parade" the 20 mile ride expects to last 5 hours. All the toys collected will be delivered to area schools, orphanages, and hospitals to make an underprivileged child’s in previous years 55,000 have participated. Today's event was awesome!
