Nielsen CELEBRATES 90 YEARS of Innovation
GLOBAL information and measurement COMPANY FOUNDED IN cHICAGO in 1923
WHAT: In honor of its deep Chicago roots, Nielsen – the global information and measurement company – is inviting the city to help celebrate the company’s 90th Anniversary, at an event expected to be attended by hundreds of corporate, media and civic leaders. Designed to showcase Chicago’s iconic brands, the celebration will feature multicultural and Chicago-style cuisine, accompanied by entertainment by the city’s best performers, including: improv by The Second City, Salsa Dancing by Latin Street Dancing Inc., and a special rendition of “Chicago” by The Gentlemen of Leisure Orchestra. Memorabilia from state and city officials and local professional sports teams – including the Chicago Blackhawks, Cubs and Bulls – will be presented to Nielsen executives and members of the founding family. A special presentation will be made by the Chicago Tribune, an exhibit from Nielsen’s interactive Innovation Expo will make its Chicago debut at this event.
