The Monroe Foundation, with your help, has put a lot of effort into promoting and asking each of you to identify at least 5 families each that would be interested in opening a savings account for $ 5 for each child or youth in their household under the age of 16 on this Saturday, November 10th at Marquette Bank, 10am.
It's just hard to believe we can't find these families that would take advantage of this opportunity and get up to $ 25 in match deposits from Marquette Bank.
So, to ensure this is not a failure and Marquette (and other banks would want to this kind of project, I am asking for referrals, or to open an account for a child you know, nephew, niece, grandchild, etc.
Let me know the names of those that you are referring and the number of children in a list form, but together, we must make this program a success with at least 25 families.
So far, Otis Monroe has ONLY SIX commitments and will have to cancel by Thursday, noon if their are not at least 25 RSVP's !! We have done a lot to lobby these local community financial institutions to make these financial services available to undeserved communities and what can be more significant now that establishing savings accounts for our children?? Southside families in general and Englewood families in particular, Lets step up and confirm at least 25 RSVP's today and before Thursday to Otis Monroe at 773-315-9720 or email@example.com
