Otis Chandler Monroe, CEO of the Monroe Foundation and facilitating organization for the '"Small Business Boot Camp", stated, "While Urban Partnership Bank
closes its' branch locations in the Bronzeville and Mid-South
communities on March 17th, and other nearby banks have not stepped-up to
the opportunity to address local lending need in the pending absence of
the institution,  we applaud Citibank for its' willingness to do so by
investing in a project that strengthens the capacity of struggling African American led companies to thrive and hire during these challenging economic times".
