This isn't my first blog.
I first started keeping an online journal in the late 90s. It was basically just a place for me to practice my HTML while I was temping in the Hancock building (the place I was temping had offsite meetings and I was the only one in the office! It was great!) It was, of course, about improv, and it wasn't even the first improv journal! Seamus McCarthy, Tammy Manning, and Mick Napier had improv blogs long before I did.
Right now I keep three! 3! This one, one about Sherlock Holmes, AND something called I Hate Clark Street. It's been going for three years now and it's just ridiculous pictures from walking up and down that fable street.
The Onion's AV Club has a great article on hyperlocal websites and I Hate Clark Street was included (though it's the only one without a pic! Booo!). It's a great piece. Here it is.
Coincidentally, it was I Hate Clark Street that got me this gig for ChicagoNow. The wonderful Amy Guth was a frequent visitor to it and she recommended me for an improv blog! So, thanks Amy! Thanks, AV Club! and...
Thanks Clark Street!
