SNL "F-word" Oops.

The dreaded "F-word" was said on Saturday Night Live last night for the second time! snl-logo_.jpg

Almost 30 years ago, Charles Rocket said it turning the good-nights.  An episode-long story arc parodied the recent "Who Shot JR Ewing?" plot from Dallas, with Charles Rocket being shot at the beginning of the show. Later, host and Dallas cast member, Charlene Tilton asks him how he is:

Sorry about the quality, but hey, it's from 1980! 1980! Most people didn't even have VCRs! (It should be noted that Charles Rocket was fired the very next day.)

Tonight, new cast member, Jenny Slate (an alum of the Upright Citizens Brigade) played the host of a talk show (what!? A talk show!? This IS a new season!) called Biker Chick Chat and every other word was "freakin'" (to replace, supposedly, the word "Fucking"." So, of course, this happens:

This incident will probably be the only thing anyone will be talking about, if they happen to talk about this relatively uninspired season premiere. I hope she doesn't get fired, but in this weird FCC-heavy climate, who knows? She said the word, "fuck" and birds will still sing and the sun will rise. It was after midnight for most of the world. It's really a non-issue. A very classy move by "Noodles in the Pot" star (and head writer) Seth Meyers to give Slate a big hug during the Good-nights.

Hey, just for fun... here's Master Carlin (very NSFW!):

  • Posted Sunday, early morn, around 2am. I comment only to mark the timespan from posting to when NBC pulls the Slate clip from its own site and from YouTube... I'm going to guess before Monday, noon.
