It all started with a greeting of “Happy Holidays.” What seemingly was a nice gesture was obviously a leftist plot to force everyone to smoke pot and have abortions, even the men. Not taking that kind of crap laying down, a response of “Merry Christmas” was levied in return.
Somewhere at some school some parent complained that the winter program wasn’t secular enough. In response some parent complained that the winter program wasn’t Jesus enough. The school chose to ignore both.
In Times Square an atheist billboard suggested Christmas was better celebrated without the whole 3-day human sacrifice to appease the flood god thing. In return Christians accused the atheists of being wrong, and some politician made reference to the Holocaust and called for a boycott of all retailers in Times Square who had absolutely nothing to do with the billboard, but were guilty by proximity.
At a public holiday display in Florida, parents driving their children around looking for baby Jesus had to see him past a beer can Festivus pole.
And so it ends. And now to rest until the savagery begins again next year.
