In preparation for this Tuesday evening's predicted seven hundred feet of snow, I thought it would be a perfect time to start imagining Summer is just around the corner instead of endless weeks away. The ultimate cruel trick of winters in the midwest is their deceiving length, to the point that you forget all about your warm-weather clothing and start to revel in the cozy layers that cover all but an inch of your wrists, until bam! it's 80 degrees and your friends are headed to the beach while you're trapped in front of your closet cleverly trying to figure out the best way to convince everyone that the t-shirt and shorts you're wearing doubles as a swimsuit. This year, take charge of winter by picking out your dream swimsuit now (as motivation) and getting to the gym this week instead of in May. And as an added bonus, I'll be taking every class my gym (Xsport) has to offer and documenting the pros and cons to you lovelies, as well as branching out as a guest at other gyms to report back on their classes as well. Come May, we'll be grabbing the first chairs at North Avenue beach together. Who's with me?
What do you think? Any of these hot numbers upping your motivation? (And you're welcome, boys.)
