Happy Thursday! Sorry for the short and semi-lame post, but it's been a doozy of a week and I promise to be back to my normal posting style tomorrow.
In an effort to get everyone prepped for my Friday post, I wanted to share this cute best man speech from Glamour's Wedding Blog site, "Save the Date". As far as best man speeches go, this one is pretty solid--gives a little history, establishes the couple as a good match, and has just the right combo of emotion and humor for the girls in the room to think "that guy's sensitive!" instead of "that guy's a wuss!" My boyfriend was next to me when I watched this and said he thought it was good, but "too calculated." In my opinion, it's better to have a semi-planned, meaningful toast than a rambling drunken roast of the groom while everyone avoids making eye contact with the newlyweds. Which brings us to the magic question--what constitutes a memorable, meaningful, appropriate toast? I have my opinions, which I will share tomorrow, but I'd love to hear what you guys think--and if you're a fan of this best man's speech or not. Stay tuned, and have an excellent Friday!
