Less Cosplay and More Crafting!

You all have probably noticed that I haven't blogged about my cosplay in a while. This year I actually only have one new costume, Tiana's yellow waitress costume from The Princess and the Frog. Other than the new Tiana costume, all other costumes I'll be wearing to conventions this year will be recycled from previous years.

I'm focusing more on my Etsy store, Charms by Nash, and I'm actually in the process of registering Charms by Nash as a small business!

As you can imagine, starting a business is a lot of work. I've been doing tons of research, and meeting with a business adviser, and really focusing on turning my little online store into something amazing. I've been doing more craft shows, and I have a few cool events coming up.

Friday, March 30, 2012, some of my pieces will be up for auction at About Face Theatre's Wonka Ball. I won't actually be attending this event, but I'm interested to find out how well my miniature dessert jewelry sells at auction.

Friday, April 20, 2012, I'll be a vendor at The Willows Academy during their Clothing Swap event. I'll be setting up a table, and selling my hand crafted jewelry.

Between starting my business and planning my wedding, I haven't had much time for costuming and blogging. I will still be covering C2E2 and Chicago Comic Con for the blog, but I'll be looking to book Artist Alley or vendor tables for some of the other local cons I attend.
