Kollision Con Artist Alley Experience

Kollision Con was last weekend, and I had an Artist Alley table for the first time. I spend months preparing for this convention. Before this year, I'd never been to Kollision Con.

I knew that it was the second year for the convention, so I expected it to be small. I also figured, that since this was an Anime Convention, loads of people would just go nuts over my jewelry, so I made a TON of it! I had hundreds of items ready to sell.

Sadly I overestimated how much I'd sell. I was disappointed at the low sales for my first event. I spent many nights staying up late, working on jewelry for this convention, and it was kind of a bust. I still have at least 300 items left. The good news is, I won't have to kill myself making stuff for the indoor craft show I have in January.

The plus side to Kollision Con, is that lots of people had a chance to see my work, take some cards, and become fans of my store's Facebook Page. I have a couple of people interested in custom orders too. You have to start somewhere right?

I didn't bring my camera, but I was able to snap a few pictures with my phone.

My first Artist Alley Badge! Jessi split the table with me, and this was her second convention selling her merchandise.

This was my side of the table. I was really happy with the jewelry displays that I bought, and the signs and table cloth matched perfectly!

Jessi makes hand painted masks, and custom hair accessories. Her store is Masquerade Dreams. The skull bows where probably the most popular ones!

The artist from the table on the other side of us also made food jewelry. Mostly cupcake rings and necklaces. I traded her a pair of my Snow Cone Earrings for this super cute winter cupcake necklace. Her store is Paradise Rose on Etsy!

Jessi had an artist from Bad Cat Studios draw me as a My Little Pony. It's just too cute!

I got away from my table long enough to get a couple of CDs, autographs, and a photo with the band Eyeshine! (Photo take by Jackie)
