Gearing up for my first Artist Alley experience

I've gone to a lot of conventions over the past few year, but I've never worked a booth or a table. That's all about to change at Kollision Con!

Kollision Con is an anime convention in St. Charles, IL, taking place November 18 - 20, 2011. I'll be selling my awesome food jewelry and charms at the con in Artist Alley. For those of you unfamiliar with anime cons, think of Artist Alley like a craft fair.

Artist Alley at comic conventions primarily hosts comic book artist, but at anime conventions there is a larger range of original artwork and handmade items.

I've been working like a mad woman, sculpting tiny food out of clay, and I still have a long way to go. I've been wanting to do craft fairs and events like this for a while, but I never thought I could create something people actually wanted to buy.

I'm feeling pretty confident that people will love my miniature food jewelry. I just have to make a lot more jewelry to build up inventory for my table. I picked up a few jewelry display racks, and I even got one of those smartphone credit card readers!

I'll be sharing a table with my future sister-in-law and her store Masquerade Dreams. I'm really excited to venture into this new world of Artist Alley.

See you all at Kollision Con! If you won't be able to come out to the con, you can also purchase my stuff on Etsy at my store Charms by Nash.
