Upscaled geeked-out Valentine's weekend

I've always been a hopeless romantic. So, of course, I love Valentine's Day. I would have been happy staying in and watching all the romantic comedies Lifetime had on all weekend. I never expect too much from my boyfriend, since my birthday is a week before Valentine's Day.

Much to my surprise, my boyfriend had big plans for this holiday weekend. Not only did we have reservations at a highly reviewed downtown restaurant...he bought a Wii! You can't go wrong with giving your geeky girlfriend her very own pink wiimote for Valentine's Day!

Every since my boyfriend and I have been dating, I've been getting more and more into video games. I bought him a Nintendo DS last year, and we've been gaming together ever since. Now we can game together in our own living room.

Even though I already had a gift for my wonderful boyfriend, I had to stop by and pick up something extra after finding out about the Wii. So I picked up Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga when I was out doing the weekly grocery shopping (I say it's a gift for him, but I made sure it was a two-player game before I picked it up).

We spent most of our weekend being Jedi, competing in Wii Sports, and getting our butts kicked by the Wii Fit (I lost a whole pound this weekend!). I love the Wii!

Sunday, we got all dressed up and went downtown to Sunda, and awesome New Asian restaurant. The food was to die for, and we had a four course meal (yeah, I ate the dessert too...I can't believe I still lost a pound). I've never been to such a nice restaurant. I felt a little out of place at first, but quickly started to just soak it all in and enjoy it.

After our fancy night out, we didn't watch some girly chick-flick. We actually watched V for Vendetta! I'd never seen the film and my boyfriend had been trying to get me to watch it for months. I thought the film was incredible!

So that was my weekend. Nintendo, Star Wars, fancy dinner, and vigilante terrorists! AND I still got a lovely card and a box of chocolates. I feel like the luckiest girl ever.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
