When I heard that Disney dropped the Narnia franchise I was worried. I absolutely loved the first two films (and both orchestral soundtracks are on my iPod). Watching The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe special edition on DVD twice in a row one weekend, with all the behind the scenes features, actually inspired me to go design school.
Seeing the Weta special effects team (the same masters of special effects that brought us Lord of the Rings) putting so much passion, detail, and effort into the film, convinced me that I could actually pursue a career doing what I love (art and design).
I was worried that anyone besides Disney would change the vibe of the films. But after seeing the 20th Century Fox trailer for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader this morning, all my fears are gone. This feels like Narnia, and I'm very excited to see this film in December.
King Caspian (formally known as Prince) is looking gorgeous too! *swoon*
