Can't Get Enough of Smallville

Just two of the most gorgeous people on Earth! Erica Durance as Lois Lane, and Tom Welling as Clark Kent.

When I was 16, I fell in love with the perfect guy. He was handsome, charming, smart, chivalrous, and he was Kryptonian. His name was Clark Kent...the show was Smallville, and 9 years later, it's my absolute favorite show on television. A few years ago I even got the Kryptonian symbol for the house of El tattooed on my wrist. I'll admit, I was more of a Batman fan before Smallville premiered, and I never explored Superman more than the Christopher Reeve films (no I didn't even watch Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman).

There are a lot of hardcore Superman fans out there, who think that
Smallville is stupid, and too different from the comics. They all think
Clark should be flying around in spandex, being all "Superman" and
stuff. If you're a comic book reader at all, then you know that
Superman has been in dozens of alternate universes, and various time
lines. Smallville is just an alternate universe for this character. A
universe where Clark and Lex started out as best friends, Lois has a
cousin named Chloe, and Clark is known as a hero called "The Blur." I
think the whole series has been a clever new approach to a character
we've seen dozens of times.

Of course every episode isn't gold,
and there was a time when I thought, "This show is on it's last
leg"...but somehow the Smallville writers come up with something that
just makes the show awesome again. As a long time fan, I was THRILLED
to learn that the CW signed on for a 10th season of Smallville! At this
point in the show, Clark has become a hero that people believe in, and
I'm really interested in seeing more of the challenges he would have to
face as a hero.

Season 10 is slated to have 22 episodes, and
it's not yet confirmed if this will be the final season. This fangirl
is happy to have the opportunity to spend one more year, with a show
I've literally grown up with.

ALSO!...for all the Smallville fans in the Chicago area, John Schneider (Smallville's Jonathan Kent) will be appearing at Chicago Comic Con this summer! So come out and meet Mr. Kent!
