Assisted Living Quality of Life: ALFA Video

In a continuation of my July 15 post, consider how the assisted living industry portrays its mission and values to consumers and policy makers. This video, produced by ALFA (the Assisted Living Federation of America) presents a well crafted message conveying the solemn commitment of  AL providers to serving older adults.

When the Washington Post published Martin Bayne's article (here), many of the +430 comments were submitted by AL staff who were appalled by the conditions described by Bayne. Their comments emphasized that dignity and quality of life for older adults were fundamental principals which guided their own facilities.
