My life has been about a lot of little challenges. Challenge is not a new term for me. I have had to learn early in life that things do not get handed to you without working hard. You simply have to go out there and get it.
You can call me stubborn. You could also call me focused or just plain determined. You can say that I have "tunnel vision."
I love to challenge myself. When I want something, I go out and get it. There are moments that I get frustrated and get mad.
In my entire life, I have challenged myself. I am the first person in my immediate family to graduate from college. I am the first person in my family to obtain a Master's Degree. I will be the first person in my whole family to have two Master degrees when I graduate in 19 months.
Over 11 years ago, I lost 50 lbs went from pre-diabetic to no threat from diabetes. I am a runner now and do my best to be healthy. I still hope to run another marathon, but it will be a while before I can do that. I will stick to fun race and a half-marathon next year after I recover from my latest injury.
I have not allowed personal issues slow me down as I challenge my life. There's no barriers. I hope to be an inspiration for my two children and that they challenge themselves in their own lives. I want both of them to do well in life and do great things.
When things get tough, I remember what my goals are and what my passion is. I know that I am a winner in the end. I am always a winner, not a loser. There's no losers in life.
I think and dream BIG!!
