Today was another exciting day in London. It was not as exciting as yesterday, but still had a lot of great performances. Not a moment to waste, here's some of the highlights:
Women's Road Cycling
Kristin Armstrong brought home the Gold medal for Team USA and became the oldest female cyclist to earn a medal in the Olympics. This is an amazing feat. I completely admire her effort and termination. Congrads!!
There was a lot of amazing diving tonight during the Men's 3-meter Synchronized Pairs event. I was amazed in some of the difficult dives that were done during competition. I was on the edge as the pair from Team USA - Dumais and Ipsen - waited for the Ukrainian pair finished their final round. I was so happy to see them take home the Bronze medal for the event.I happen to notice that Troy Dumais used a routine combining the use of music and isolation to help re-center himself after each round of the competition. I was very impressed in the use of this technique.
Tonight was the night for Men's All-Around competition. Danell Leyva from Team USA took home the Bronze medal for the All-Around. It was a very positive rebound after the Men's team was let down during the team competition.
Team USA is still dominating the pool. Nathan Adrain brought home the Gold medal tonight in the 100-meter freestyle with only 0:01 ahead of his competitor from Australia. It was simply amazing sight to see. Team USA also took home the Gold medal in the 4x200-meter relay tonight.
That's all for tonight. There will be definitely more coming tomorrow. Until then...
