London or BUST: 2012 Olympics Introspective – Day 10
Provided by the IOC

Today's action has been very exciting to watch today to watch. I spent a lot of time watching a lot of great sports. It was a very enjoyable to watch.

Women's Basketball

Today's match against China was amazing to watch. The shooting by the players was blazing. I saw a lot of 3-point shots that looked too easy to do. The teamwork during the game was greatly noticed as they played well together. The team set a new Olympic record for the number of assists with a total of 33 made during this game. The ladies tied an overall record for the number of scored point in a single game with 114. The Women's team play Canada on Tuesday.

Women's Volleyball

Team USA played very well this afternoon against Turkey where they won in straight sets. Both teams played very well. It was a very long match for the Olympics. Both teams did not allow the other team win an easy match. Right now, Team USA has the challenge of detailing with an injury of an important teammate, Lindsey Berg, who came out of the last set with an Achilles injury. It is important for the entire team to reset and mentally prepare for the event that Berg can not play. They have the ability to do well without her.

Women's Marathon

I didn't get a chance to wake up very early for the actual race. I was able to catch the recap for the race. Unfortunately, none of the runners from Team USA finished fast enough to earn a medal. Desiree Davila had to stop at mile 8 due to a current injury that she's dealing with and not fully healed. Gelana Tiki set a new Olympic record when she finished the event.  Shalane Flanagan and Kara Goucher finished in 10th and 11th place with the finishing times being very tight from the medal winners.

Today was a great day for action. The day started with the Williams sisters a Gold medal match in Women's Doubles and played one day after Serena won her Gold medal in Women's Singles.  It was a great match! Team USA also brought home the Bronze medal in the Mixed Doubles match.

Track and Field

This is the 2nd day of events for Track and Field. Sanya Richards-Ross and Dee Dee Trotter from Team USA brought home the Gold and Bronze in the 400-meter Dash. It was a very exciting race to watch. The most exciting race to watch was the Men's 100-meter Dash where Justin Gatlin from Team USA brought home the Bronze medal before Bolt - who set a new Olympic Record - and Blake. This was the race to watch.

This is all for today. More will be coming tomorrow....
