Fox Valley Folk Festival, the big one on Island Park in Geneva during  Labor Day weekend, needs volunteers. It take over 100 volunteers every day to properly manage this Chicago area icon of live music. You can be a part of this amazing event Contact Cheryl Joyal, for information, and/or to volunteer.

Songsisters at Wishbone North, 3301 N. Lincoln Ave, Chicago. 7 PM.

The Woodstock Folk Festival, one of the season's biggies, on the square in Woodstock. Music from noon to about 6-ish. Lifetime achievement award to Anne Hills, plus performances by some of the best folkies in the country. Bring your chairs and/or blankets.
