312 Sports, as the name implies, is your one-stop shop for all things Chicago sports. The goal is to combine modern-day statistical analysis with old school opinion-based reporting. It will both inform you and yes (at times) infuriate you. But that's what sports talk is about - informed opinions that generates discussion. Think of it as a combination of bar room banter with an analytical structure.
The idea is not to simply provide recaps of games...heck, you can go to ESPN for that stuff if you want. Rather, it's to give you some insight and perspective on our Chicago sports teams that you aren't able to easily gather anywhere else. We have resources available to us that allow us to inform while at the same time be meatballs when necessary. For after all, we're fans of these sports teams just like you!
Whether it's the Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls or White Sox, we strive to offer you our collective wisdom and strong opinions that you may not always agree with but hopefully will learn to respect and understand. And hey, if you don't, let us know! We love a good debate and welcome your input. After all, this site is for you, the fan.
The two main authors of this site come with credentials from respected places like Bleacher Report and WGN Sports and we have been published in almost every major media outlet, including ESPN, Fox and other top sites. We will also be bringing in other credentialed writers from time to time to give the blog a fresh perspective and keep it interesting.
We want to be your #1 community for Chicago sports, but we know there are plenty of places you can go for your sports consumption, so we understand that this is something we have to earn. Recognizing that, always feel free to reach out to us and let us know how we're doing. We welcome honest feedback.
